This was an important shoot for me. I was finally drawing from a more personal place with my photography. I enlisted the help of several collaborators - Gisella Rose for hook suspension, Purevile and Numi Empire for costuming. But the story I wanted to tell was more thoroughly planned by myself ahead of the shoot time, and more resonant with my personal interests. After almost two years with a camera in my hands, I was learning how to direct.
Half of these photos were taken with the Mamiya 645, while the other half were taken with a little Konica Minolta 35mm camera.
